THE biggest stars of the 2013 Vauxhall International North West 200 will be riding into Antrim next week when the local Vauxhall dealership hosts a special Meet the Riders event.

As the new title sponsors of Ireland’s top motorcycle event, Vauxhall will be giving everyone the chance to meet John McGuinness and Michael Dunlop during a special visit to Townparks at 4.30pm on Tuesday 15th January 2013.

Local hero Dunlop has recently joined six times North West winner John McGuinness in the Honda TT Legends squad and every bike race fan is savouring the prospect of the Young Pretender taking on the current King of racing between the hedges in 2013.

The duo won’t have their first competitive outing until the North West but Antrim race fans will have their own chance for a special preview at the Townparks event. Both John and Michael will be available for autographs and photographs as well as a chat about the year ahead so why not come along and meet the men who will set the famous Triangle course on fire on May 18.

You will also have the chance to have your picture taken with the racers on the official superbike of the North West 200, the 2013 CBR1000RR Fireblade, which will be unveiled in its new TT Legends livery for the first time in the Northern Ireland.

Lucky winners will have the chance to win Vauxhall North West 200 prizes and race supremo Mervyn Whyte, MBE, will be there to answer any queries for spectators.

Of course everyone will also be able to view the Vauxhall range on display including the innovative new Mokka that combines the road presence of an SUV with the dynamic handling of a sports hatchback.

Along with the Vauxhall Ampera that redefines electric vehicle innovation, using electricity alone you can drive for up to 50 miles and then a petrol-powered generator provides electricity for a further 310 miles driving.

Gordon Hannen Vauxhall Motors Regional Operations Manager Scotland and Northern Ireland extends a warm welcome to all saying: “I hope that everyone comes along and enjoys the chance to meet these brilliant racers it will be a day to remember.”
