Mid-Antrim bowlers resume bid for Plate glory

MID-Antrim’s men’s and ladies’ teams are preparing for inter-Zone action early in the new year.

With both teams having exited their main competitions before Christmas, their focus will be on the subsidiary Plate competitions.

First in action are the ladies who travel to Glastry this Saturday, January 5, to take on North Down.

The ladies’ team for the match is:

Rink one: Y Rock (Cullybackey Methodist), A Rainey (ALBC), J Wilson (Michelin, H Maybin (First Ahoghill).

Rink two: J Mullan (Cuningham), K McKelvey (Second Broughshane), S Lynn (Cuningham), H Lynn (Cuningham).

Rink three: P Peacock (Cullybackey Methodist, M Graham (Craigs), E Ferguson (BPFA), A Bacon (Ballymena Methodist).

Rink four: S Kleinman (Glenravel), M Kirkpatrick (Cullybackey Methodist), S Smith (Services), W Adair (Second Donegore).

Rink five: I McCullough (ALBC), Y Hall (Second Donegore), J Green (Second Donegore), R Morrison (First Ahoghill).

Rink six: L Turtle (BPFA), J Lithco (Muckamore), M Wilson (Michelin), A Agnew (St Patrick’s Ballymena).

Reserves: B McKnight (Second Donegore), M Neeson (ALBC), H Rainey (ALBC), M Smyth (Second Donegore).

MEN

The men have a shorter journey the following Saturday, January 12, when they travel over Shane’s Hill to take on Larne.
