Antrim Forum, Antrim Sporting Legends presentation 136JC12

NOMINATIONS are now open for the second year of the Gallery of Sporting Legends, which celebrates the sporting successes of the Borough.

Anna Boyle, Sport and Physical Activity Development Manager with Antrim Borough Council explains, “The aim of the Gallery, which is situated in Antrim Forum, is to recognise sports persons from throughout the Borough of Antrim who have reached the highest level in their chosen sport. If you know someone who meets the criteria, and you would like to see them join the sports people who have already been inducted into the Gallery, why not take a few moments to complete a nomination form.”

Successful nominees will have:

•Competed at the Olympic Games or;

•Competed at the Commonwealth Games or;

•Competed at World or European Level or;

•Competed at highest level achievable within their specific sport or;

•Made a significant contribution to sport.

All nominees should be born, live, have previously lived or have strong connections with the Borough of Antrim. Additional nomination criteria will apply, see guidance notes and form for full terms and conditions.
