“Big decisions change the nature of games and the second goal was a killer.

“I was fairly confident we would get back into the game but the second goal killed us off a bit. It came from a corner that was never a corner.

But irrespective of that, we didn’t defend two corners well enough - we can’t blame the referee for everything.

We didn’t take our chances when we got into good areas, particularly down the right hand side in the second half and didn’t make the most of it. We’re probably to blame for our own downfall as we didn’t punish them when we had good opportunities to do so.

We will play worse than that and get a result this season,” added Ferguson.
