United Youth Academy begin trials on Wednesday

Trials begin shortly for several of Ballymena United Youth Academy’s teams for the new season.

While many other clubs and organisations are enjoying a well-earned summer break, the Youth Academy is already making meticulous plans for the 2015-16 campaign.

Trials for Ballymena United’s under 13 and under 14 sides for next season will take place over the next couple of weeks.

On Wednesday 17th June the first night of the trials will take place for any boy born in 2002 and who would like to trial for the Academy.

United will again have TWO sides at this age group,under 14,one playing in the National A league and another competing in the highly competitive Lisburn Invitational youth league.

United are especially keen to attract players for their Lisburn league side where a new coaching team will be in place.

The trials will take place at Wakehurst on the 17th June from 7.00-8.30pm,those attending should wear their own football kit and bring a drink.

These trials will continue on Wednesday 24th June when there will be also be trials for United’s under 13 side for next season, open to any boy born in the 2003 calendar year.

This side will also play against other Irish league academies and top boys clubs in the National league next season and the 2003 coaching team would encourage any boy who believes he could contribute to the squad,to attend on the 24th at 7.00pm.

United under 15s, any boy born in 2001, will also be trialling this week.

Again all players who believe they can contribute to this squad,managed by Irish league striker Gary Twigg, are invited to attend.2001 trial dates are this Wednesday,17th June at the Showgrounds 3G, 6.00-7.30pm and the following Wednesday night, also at the same venue.
