Antrim WI enjoy annual outing

THE President welcomed everyone to the May meeting of Antrim WI.

She thanked all who called, sent cards and sympathised with her husband, Jane (Corr. Sec), and herself on the sudden death of Martin, their son and brother.

The speaker, Mrs Sandra Penny, showed her beautiful faberge eggs and demonstrated how she made them.

The members enjoyed handling and hearing how she made them from the different eggs.

Marlene Beckett gave the vote of thanks.

After supper the evening ended with the singing of the Country Women’s Song.

The annual outing in June was to see the film ‘Lavender Hill Mob’ in Antrim Old Courthouse proved to be a very enjoyable evening followed by supper in the Dunsilly Hotel.

The President wished the members a lovely relaxing summer.
