IRISH 2ltr Hot Rod Champion Wayne Woolsey added the British Championship Title to his achievements at the Foxhall international Stadium in Ipswich last week.
Woolsey, who was driving a Vauxhall Tigra, recorded a win in heat one and a good finish in heat two saw him take pole position in the championship.

World Champion Mark Paffey was a couple of places behind and he was surrounded by top English drivers.

At the green flag Woolsey was immediately under the cosh as National Champion Paul Wright was dicing along side of him.

Mike Pagden was on his rear bumper in third. Mike Cooper, Malcolm Blackman and local man Gary Wilson were next in tow.

After a few laps Blackman moved up and started his challenge on the outside of Woolsey.

Wayne withstood all the pressure to just keep his nose in front.

This great dice continued for a long period before Wright edged back into second. Woolsey was in super form never giving in and went on to a great win.

Blackman fought back to clinch the runner up spot ahead of Wright. Wilson finished fourth ahead of another local man Mark Madill and Kevin Randell a former World Champion in sixth.
