THIS Sunday, July 5 will see Nutts Corner Motorsports Centre in full life when the Ulster Karting Club hosts the third round of the Ulster Cup Series.
The series to date has once again produced superb racing in what is widely regarded as the province’s main championship.

This Sunday’s race though will also be a good chance for drivers that are also competing in the Southern Irish championships to have a final full race shake down before the inagural visit of that championship to the circuit on 8 & 9 August.

The Ulster Cup series is a particularly tough one with points from heats and finals also counting. With even more on-circuit race time this year than before, the addition of pre-finals also gives spectatators an even greater packed day of motorsport.

The Ulster Cup round on Saturday will also be a day for some of the local British Championship contenders to keep themselves in race tune at the circuit now that there is less than two race meetings left at Nutts Corner Motorsports Centre before the British Championship round there on 22 & 23 August.

In the run up to that meeting the Ulster Karting Club hopes to be formally releasing details in the next few weeks of major media campaigns, in conjunction with the Department of Culture Arts and Leisure (DCAL), that will help put the sport in the province into the households of millions throughout Europe.

This Saturday’s meeting at Nutts Corner Motorsports Centre will get underway at 10am with the first set of heats. Finals will be just after lunch.
