Police investigate Thornway fire

DETECTIVES in Antrim are appealing for information following a suspicious fire in the Thornway area of Antrim in the early hours of Tuesday, October 16.

At approximately 1 am Police received a report of a fire at a residential property in the area. Police and NIFRS attended. The fire caused extensive damage to a shed at the rear of the property which spread to the house.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The female occupant escaped from the property safely.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to contact them at Antrim on 0845 600 8000.
