Police investigate “approach” to child

POLICE are investigating a suspicious approach to a child in the Antrim area.

The incident, which was reported earlier today, is believed to have occurred at 3.30pm yesterday, Tuesday, September 25, close to a primary school on Bracken Avenue.

A 10 year old girl had just left the school grounds when she was approached by a man on foot who asked if she would like to come to his house for buns.

This man is described by the child as elderly, bald, and wearing jeans and a green body warmer.

Anyone who saw a male matching this description in the area yesterday is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000.
