Meeting held in Dunadry to discuss local plans

PLANS for Dunadry took a step forward last week, when residents turned out in force to a public meeting to discuss the future of the village and the development of a Village Plan.

It was an opportunity for them to have their say on its future development including housing, transport, environment and the community.

The meeting also gave residents a chance to register their interest in helping to bring the Plan forward.

Briege Coyle, Village Renewal Facilitator for the South Antrim area, said: “This meeting was the first stage in the village renewal process and a lot of discussion took place on the main issues which affect the village.

“It was encouraging to see the event so well attended by local residents and hopefully this level of interest can be sustained.

“I would like to thank all of those who came along to the meeting, Dunadry Community Association and Dunadry Hotel.”

VMS Ltd, who chaired and facilitated the meeting, will report on the findings of the public meeting to allow the Village Plan to take shape.

If you were unable to attend the meeting but would like to comment please contact Briege Coyle on 028 9446 3113 ext. 1354 or email briege.coyle@antrim.gov.uk
