Man released on bail

A 39-YEAR-OLD man arrested in connection with the murder of Coleraine pensioner Bertie Acheson has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The man was arrested in the greater Belfast area on Wednesday.

A house search was also carried out in the Antrim area.

Seventy-two-year-old Mr Acheson died following a confrontation with an intruder at his home in Glenmore Gardens in Coleraine in the early hours of April 30 this year.
