Launch of new charity Links2pink
A NEW charity fundraising group was launched last week at a special event in the Ho Wah Chinese restaurant, Antrim.
Links2pink is a new local charity, comprising of 15 local people on the committee, whose aim is to run fun local events within our community to raise money for people suffering due to illness.
The group hope that local charities will then apply for the money that the charity raises with all money used for people living in our community.
The launch night included a Chinese buffet and karaoke night and among those in attendance was Mayor of Antrim, Paul Michael and his wife Angela.
Links2pink would like to thanks everyone who supported the night as well as Eamonn and Tanya of the Ho Wah, plus all their staff, who ensured the night ran very smoothly.
Links2pink are planning several other events during the year; three teams of fiev will take part in the Belfast Marathon on May 7 and a handbag and accessory sale is planned for July 28 in All Saints Parish Hall.
A website for the group is currently being developed, so for more information visit www.links2pink.co.uk
