Impressive GCSE results at Crumlin Integrated College
THE staff at Crumlin Integrated College are absolutely delighted with this year’s outstanding GCSE results achieved by the school’s former Year 12 pupils.
Top performers were Megan Hill - with a very impressive nine GCSEs at grade C and higher; Tammy-Lee Davis, Gary McCartan, Gemma Orford, Amy Taylor, Nicole Wardle, Chelsea Marsh, Daniel McCafferty and Sarah McDonnell – who all achieved eight GCSEs at grade C and higher.
Very impressive results were attained particularly in: Music 100% A*-C; Double Award science 100% A*-C; History 89.3% A*-C; Single Award Science 88.9% A*-C; Child Development 83.3% A*-C.
The school is proud that pupils this year exceeded the overall predicted school targets by approximately 12 per cent.
Chairman of the Board of Governors, Mr Stanley Smith, expressed his delight with the results. He said: “The school has been through a great deal this year. It is to the credit of all the teaching staff that they have achieved these outstanding results for our pupils.”
Some pupils have moved on to grammar schools and others to colleges of further education, where no doubt they all will experience further success.
