Girls injured in New Year incident

POLICE in Antrim are appealing for information after two females were injured in the High Street area during the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Around 1am the two girls aged 17 and 19 received cuts to the head and face after they were hit by flying glass as they passed by a local bar.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is asked to contact police at Antrim on 0845 600 8000.

Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
