THE Gardens at Greenmount Campus, Antrim which include the fantastic Richardsons Walled Garden will be open to the public on Saturday 18 and Sunday, August 19.

The Greenmount Association Floristry Club will be demonstrating ‘Alfresco’, a series of floral designs created to enhance summer garden parties and BBQs.

Staff from Loughry Campus will be present at Greenmount to let you taste a chocolate cake with a difference. Visitors can also sample beer which was produced at a Loughry craft brewing course. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available in the garden.

A quartet from the Ulster Youth Orchestra will be performing in the garden on the Sunday. All in all, flowers, food and music - three further reasons to visit one of Northern Ireland’s premier walled gardens.

You can also enjoy the extensive and attractive campus grounds and wander or picnic on the Greenmount Nature Trail.

Horticultural staff will be on hand over the weekend to answer gardening questions or advise on horticultural courses at Greenmount.

The opening times at Greenmount Garden in Antrim are 10.30am to 5pm on Saturday, August 18 and 1pm to 6pm on Sunday, August 19. Last admission is one hour before close.
