Ex-Mayor raises over £6,500 for charity
FORMER Mayor of Antrim, Councillor Paul Michael has raised the terrific amount of over £6,500 for charity.
Councillor Michael said: “During my term of office, it was my privilege to nominate as my chosen charities, TinyLife and Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
“I am absolutely delighted with the total raised and would like to thank everyone who donated in anyway and helped me reach this fantastic sum.”
Valerie Cromie of TinyLife added: “We are greatly indebted to Councillor Michael and his wife Angela. Our charity partnership during Councillor Michael’s term as Mayor of Antrim has given TinyLife a solid foundation to develop future fundraising activity in the Borough of Antrim. The income raised from the partnership will ensure that TinyLife is able to continue to provide vital family support services to the parents of premature and vulnerable babies born in the Antrim area.”
Philip Martin of Antrim Royal British Legion said: “I would like to thank Councillor Michael for nominating the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. It has certainly helped to raise the profile of the work we do and will provide a welcome boost to our fundraising.”
