Countdown to Antrim’s Halloween Spooktacular!

A spooky night of fun is in store this Thursday night.

A spooky night of fun is in store this Thursday night.

FOR WITCHES and warlocks, spooks and spectres, Antrim’s Hallowe’en Spooktacular is the place to be this Thursday (October 25).

Taking place at Junction One, the scary goings on kick off at 6pm with Sonia Mac at the Cool FM Radio Roadshow.

Karen Steele, Development Manager (Visitor Servicing) with Antrim Borough Council, said: “There will be a whole evening of family entertainment including a Samba Band, Hallowe’en and cartoon characters and fire jugglers. The Hallowe’en Grotto also makes a chilling return and what lies inside is sure to send a shiver down your spine!”

She said: “For the younger members of the family, there will be an opportunity to meet animals from Clementsmount Fun Farm from 5.30pm and to make Hallowe’en crafts in the covered area adjacent to Subway. Of course, the evening wouldn’t be complete without a children’s fancy dress competition and the judging will take place at 7pm at the radio roadshow.

Eye Feel Good, Junction One’s charity of the year, will also have a range of Hallowe’en activities on the night, including archery and a climbing frame, to raise money for those living with cancer within the community.”

Karen added: “The celebrations will come to a close when an explosion of sound and colour illuminates the night sky in a spectacular Fireworks Display around 8pm. Make sure you don’t miss out on what promises to be a truly fangtastic Hallowe’en Spooktacular!”

This event is free of charge and is jointly organised by Antrim Borough Council and Junction One International Outlet Centre. Please note that access to the event is by the Ballymena Road entrance to Junction One only.

Disabled parking, for blue badge holders, will be available at Junction One. Overflow parking will be available at Antrim Civic Centre and Dunsilly Roundabout Car Park, with regular pickups from these car parks & High Street by Ulsterbus.
