ANTRIM Camera Club was founded in 1984 and commences a new season in Parkhall College, Steeple Road, Antrim on Wednesday, September 5.

The club will meet weekly each Wednesday night at 7:45pm until May 2012. We are a friendly club and we have a wide range of members of all photographic abilities and interests. Over the past few seasons the club continues to experience a growing membership.

Enthusiasm for photography is the only requirement you need for membership. You don’t even have to own a camera but it helps!

There are many opportunities to improve your skills and knowledge through practical sessions, lectures and outings.

One third of the membership is female these days. We always welcome new members and you will be welcome whether you are an experienced photographer or a raw beginner.

The club programme for the coming season will offer you lots of learning opportunities and the chance to show and discuss your images. The outline programme can be viewed at www.antrimcameraclub.org.uk.

The club has been active during the summer. It mounted an exhibition during the Greenmount College Centenary weekend and also mounted a successful “Birdies and Beasties” exhibition during the Greenmount Summer Programme. It has previously exhibited in Clotworthy House Exhibition Centre, Antrim New Library, Greystone Library and the Castle Mall.

The club is affiliated to Northern Ireland Photographic Association (NIPA) and the East Antrim Photographic Union (EAPU).

Membership fee is £30 per year with a concession fee of £20 for OAPs, unemployed and juniors.

If you have any enquiries you can make them through the club website or by contacting the Club Chairman at 07715 775197.
