Window display winners are announced

Anticipation was high as businesses from Antrim, Crumlin and Randalstown waited with baited breath at the Old Courthouse on Friday to hear the Mayor of Antrim, Councillor Roderick Swann, announce the results of Antrim Borough Council’s Christmas Window Display Competition.

Antrim’s first prize winners were Nanabelle’s, Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary and Dunnes. Runners-up prizes went to Nua Floral Designer, Girassol and Bags.

Highly commended awards went to The Seamstress, Northern Ireland Hospice Shop and Quiz Clothing.

Randalstown’s first prize winner was Vintage Rose Wedding Centre, runner-up went to The Kandy Shop and the highly commended award went to Budding Design and Tan Stand.

Announcing the winners, Mayor of Antrim, Councillor Roderick Swann said: “This competition recognises the contribution and hard work businesses put into making the Borough more festive and welcoming for residents and visitors.

“I was very impressed with the number of businesses that participated, 25 in total, which makes the competition even more exciting and challenging.”
