Sectarian graffiti that appeared on a peace mural in Parkhall, has been condemned by a local councillor.
Local MLA Trevor Clarke said: “These thugs who purposely went out to damage property need to be caught and punished for their disorderly behaviour.”
He added: “The peace mural was creatively designed and carried out by the local children who used their skills to create colourful artwork in the area, however it seems that it is somewhat ruined by the letters ‘K.A.H’ abbreviated for ‘Kill all Huns’.
“Fact is, none of this language is appropriate and those individuals need to find other hobbies other than vandalising and offending people.
“I have already been in contact with the PSNI to see what action can be taken, as if this had have been in another area with three other letters abbreviated there would have been a choir of condemnation.”
