Police in Antrim are appealing for information following a robbery in the Station Road area of Randalstown on Monday evening.

It was reported that a 19-year-old male was in the area of the viaduct with two friends when they were approached by a group of four males and a female.

The grabbed hold of the male and stole a sum of cash from him before making off in the direction of New Street. One of the males are described as being approximately 6’ tall, of slim build, with blonde or ginger coloured hair and wearing a white t-shirt with blue stripes.

A second male is described as being slightly smaller, of slim build and wearing a black coloured t-shirt and dark track bottoms.

Two males aged 22 and 27, and a 22-year-old female were arrested a short time later.

They were interviewed and subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information to contact them at Antrim Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
