Building work is now underway at Parkgate Primary School for their new extension which will see the school double in size.

Parkgate Primary School principal Mrs Philippa Peden is delighted that extensive work has commenced, she said: “This is due to a very growing enrolment and being categorised, in June 2013 as providing a very good quality of education by the school’s district inspector.”

By making optimum use of the site, the school will double in size with the building of a new Foundation Stage classroom/playground, multipurpose meeting room, toilets, cloakroom, stores and a lobby area.

Mrs Peden added: “These facilities will greatly enhance many areas of the curriculum and benefit the whole community.

“This is a very exciting new chapter in the life of our school and we look forward to ongoing development and success in the future.”
