Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced an estimated £187,000 road resurfacing scheme for the Toome area.
Work will begin on Monday 3 March and continue until March 17 2014 between Roguery Road and Loop Road.
Danny Kennedy said. “The improvements will result in the overall strengthening of the road and road users will quickly realise the benefits of the new carriageway surface.”
To protect the safety of the travelling public and contractors during these surfacing schemes, it will be necessary to close the Loughbeg Road to daytime through traffic from Monday 3 March to 7 March 2014.
A diversion route will be signposted via Roguery Road, Taylorstown Road, Crosskeys Road and Ballyscullion Road.
