Antrim Lions Club is hosting an Open Garden weekend to raise funds for injured jockey Jonjo Bright.

The aspiring amateur jockey from Templepatrick was left paralysed following a point-to-point fall in March 2013.

The 20-year-old was showing real talent for the sport and was tipped as one to watch for the future.

A serious spinal injury at the C3 and C4 level left him paralysed from the neck down and saw him spend months in hospital.

The Open Garden event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8 at 76 Rathmore Road, Dunadry.

The event will be signposted and will be open from 1pm to 5pm both days.

The gardens have numerous paths which are mostly baby buggy and wheelchair friendly.

The Open Garden event will also be serving coffee and traybakes, as well as hosting a display of Koi Carp, cottage ceramics and
beautiful candles.
