Police are to stage a reconstruction as part of their investigation into a fatal road accident in Antrim earlier this year.
A 42-year-old motorcyclist died following a crash at the Dunsilly off-slip of the M2 motorway on July 8.
As part of the ongoing investigation, police are organising a reconstruction of the accident on Sunday, October 27 and are asking asking anyone who witnessed the collision between a motorcycle, a dark grey car and an articulated lorry, to contact them at Antrim police station on 0845 600 8000.
As a result of the reconstruction, the M2 motorway will be closed at the Northbound off slip to the Rathbeg turn off at Junction 6 (first turn off for Antrim), for approximately four hours. A diversionary route will be in operation and will be clearly signed.
Diverted traffic will move along Upper Greystone Road to Greystone Roundabout, turning right turn onto Stiles Way which leads onto the A26 Ballymena Road at Junction 1 Retail Park where traffic will be directed to Junction 1 intersection (Dunsilly).
Police would ask anyone who witnessed the crash on July 8, or who has any information to contact Police at Antrim on 0845 600 8000. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
