Crumlin housing plan refused

A PLANNING application for a new housing plan on the outskirts of Crumlin has been refused.

Plans had been submitted to build six dwellings, along with garages, on a site 105m south west of 10 Ballyutoag Hill.

The plans, which received two objection letters, had been issued as a refusal by the Planning Service when they came before Antrim Council’s Public Services Committee last week.

Planners refused the application on the grounds it was contrary to Planning Policy 21 in that “there are no overriding reasons why this development is essential in this rural location and could not be located within a settlement”.
