South Antrim MLA Trevor Clarke encourages all men to get checked more regularly for health problems.
He said: “According to the NHS ‘men are paying the price for neglecting their health as more than 100,000 men a year die prematurely’.
“This conveys how important it is to be aware of changes to your health, and to see your GP immediately if you notice something that’s not right.
“It is great to see that events such as the ‘Real Health Advice for Real Men’ are becoming more regular and I would encourage all men to attend this event which is taking place on Thursday at 7:30pm in Randalstown Memorial Hall.”
He added: “These events are encouraging more men to be more aware of their health with a range of fun interactive and totally free health activities and health advice.”
