Cars set on fire

A number of cars have been set on fire following two arson attacks in Antrim this morning.

At approximately 5.25am it was reported that a car parked in the Rathkyle area had been set on fire.

Police and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended and the fire was extinguished.

A Citroen C2 car was destroyed and extensive damage was caused to a Subaru car in the incident.

At approximately 5.40am it was reported that a car parked in the Oaktree Drive area had been set on fire. Police and NIFRS attended and the fire was extinguished.

A Vauxhall Vectra car was destroyed in the incident

A motive has not yet been established and police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incidents or anyone with any information to contact them at Antrim Police Station on the new non-emergency number 101.
