Antrim Policing & Community Safety Partnership is backing a campaign aimed at encouraging people to report drug dealing in their area.
Chair of Antrim Policing & Community Safety Partnership, Alderman Drew Ritchie said: “Drugs destroy our communities and tear families apart, by supporting this campaign we want to send a clear message that drug dealers are not welcome in Antrim Borough.
“I am calling on residents of Antrim Borough to join us and make a stand against drug dealing to help improve the community where you live.
“If you have information about drug dealing or witness any suspicious activity I would encourage you to report anonymously to Crimestoppers who are an independent charity, they will not ask for your name or address and you will not have to sign a statement or appear in court.”
The initiative has been advertised throughout Antrim borough and across Northern Ireland, as well as being advertised on radio, social media and promotional videos online and is being run in partnership with Crimestoppers, a number of other agencies including PSNI and PCSPs from across Northern Ireland.
If you have any information on crime in your area please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or alternatively you can phone the PSNI on 0845 600 8000 and help to stop drug dealing in your area.
