Attempted armed robbery at Antrim Train Station

Detectives in Antrim are appealing for witnesses to an attempted street robbery at Antrim train station on July 14.

An 18 year old man was approached by an unknown male at the steps to the station at around 9.45pm. The male produced a knife and demanded money from the victim.

The victim kicked the would-be robber and managed to get away.

The suspect is described as in his mid 30s, around 5’ 8” tall of a thin build. He was wearing a black coat with grey pockets, black trainers, black bottoms and black gloves. It’s understood he spoke with a Ballymena accent

Anyone with information should contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
