Arson attack in Newpark

Detectives are appealing for information following an arson attack on a flat in the Hawthornden area of Antrim last night, Tuesday, July 29.

At around 11pm it was reported that a flammable liquid had been poured through the letterbox of a flat and set alight.

Police and NIFRS attended and the fire was extinguished.

Damage was caused to the front door of the flat as a result.

There was nobody in the flat at the time of the incident.

Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact CID at Antrim Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
