CAREHOMES BACKLASH

THE future of Rosedale care home in Antrim is in doubt after the Northern Trust announced plans to close all of its residential care facilities.

SUCCESSFUL SAFETY SCHEME:  Antrim Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) Chairperson Cllr Trevor Clarke MLA and John Terrett of Mercury Security Management shake on the resounding success to date of the Crumlin Community Safety Warden Scheme which has been piloted in the area since the start of January.  Local residents and retailers have welcomed the initiative which is funded by Antrim PCSP and managed by Mercury Security to address low-level anti-social behaviour through a team of highly-trained wardens who patrol the area regularly and engage with the community at large to identify and minimise the risk of anti-social behaviour.
