Translink officials have met with Antrim political representatives to discuss local train and bus service performance.

Speaking at the event in Antrim Bus & Rail Centre, Translink Service Delivery Manager, Ciaran McHugh, said: “We wanted to provide local representatives with an update on service performance and highlight the latest Translink developments to benefit our customers.

“Value-for-money is always a top priority and we continue to encourage local people to choose Smartlink travelcards and enjoy excellent savings.

“For example, a Smartlink card loaded with 10 journeys for coach travel between Antrim and Belfast is £28.50 equating to £2.85 per journey.

“Passengers don’t need to worry about expensive car parking in the city and can take advantage of free Wifi onboard Goldline coach services.

“Our yLink youth card also provides all 16 – 23 year olds with up to a third-off bus and rail travel along with exclusive food and leisure offers and we continue to offer a third-off day return train tickets for travel after 9.30am.

“We have recently launched our ‘Life’s better’ campaign highlighting all the ways using passenger transport can help make lives better.

“As part of this campaign we are seeking existing Antrim customers who are interested in becoming ‘Translink Ambassadors’.

“Further information is available online at www.translink.co.uk/lifesbetter.

“We would like to thank everyone for attending this event and ask for their continued support as we work hard to deliver attractive services for everyone,” said Ciaran.
