Convicted murderer Glen Allen arrested after being unlawfully at large

The PSNI have located a convicted murder who had been unlawfully at large from prison.

Police in Causeway Coast and Glens confirmed this morning (Wednesday, December 21) that they had arrested 34-year-old Glen Allen.

Allen, who was convicted in relation to murder following an incident in June 2008, had breached the conditions of his temporary prison release.

A police spokesperson said Allen was arrested on Tuesday night (December 20) following police appeals to trace his whereabouts.

"We would like to thank members of the public who responded to the appeal with information. Allen is currently in police custody pending return to prison.”
