Detectives investigating the murder of Martin Morgan in Antrim are making an appeal for information one year after his death.
Detective Inspector Mark Irvine said officers are actively seeking witnesses:
"One year on we have revisited the scene where Martin was murdered seeking witnesses and handing out leaflets to motorists and anyone who was around the area. Martin was
shot dead in his Firmount Drive home sometime between 3am and 4:30am. We believe that a person or a number of persons ran away from his house along an alleyway in Firmount Drive in the direction of Ballycraigy estate.
The Detective Inspector described events leading up to Martin's murder:
"We believe Martin was in a bar in the town at around 5:30pm on Friday 6th. He was also in a petrol station on the Ballymena Road, Antrim, at around midnight.
"But we are keen to find out more about his movements on Friday night/Saturday morning and would urge anyone who was in his company at any stage between 7pm on Friday 6th and the early hours of Saturday morning to contact us," said the policeman.
DI Irvine made a specific appeal about Martin Morgan's car:
"Martin drove a white white Toyota Corolla, registration number JBZ 8258.
"We know he was driving it around Antrim town as well as Greystone and Ballycraigy.
"If you think you saw it on the day of his murder, please contact police. We need the public's help in finding the person or persons behind this terrible crime."
"Information can be given to detectives in the incident room on 028 9056 1804.
"Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by telephoning Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
