Waterfront date for Scissor Sisters

THE Scissor Sisters release their fourth studio album ‘Magic Hour’ this week and will vist Belfast’s Waterfront Hall on October 2 in support of it

The album features collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Diplo, BoysNoize’s Alex Rihda and Azealia Banks as well as Calvin Harris, who has co-produced top 20 single ‘Only The Horses’ along with Jake Shears.

Scissor Sisters formed in New York in 2001. They came to public attention with the release of the Grammy-nominated and chart-topping disco version of Comfortably Numb.

International prominence followed with the success of their debut album Scissor Sisters, which reached number 1 in the UK where it was the best-selling album of 2004 and spawned five top 20 singles. The band picked up multiple awards, including 3 Brits.

Ta-Dah (2006) proved to be another commercial and critical success and scored them their second consecutive UK number 1 album and produced their first UK number 1 single “I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’”.

Displaying a shift towards a more club-oriented sound, their third studio album Night Work (2010) charted at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart, and gave the band their biggest success to date in America.

Scissor Sisters are known for their extravagant live performances so their Waterfront date is not to be missed.

Tickets are £31 standing or seated (including booking fee) and are available from the Waterfront Hall Box Office on 028 9033 4455 or online at www.waterfront.co.uk
