THE Parkinson's Disease Society (PDS) is setting up a Support Group in the Ballymena area for people who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's, live with or care for someone living with the condition, or simply want to know more about it.
The first meeting of the group will take place on Friday, January 30 at 2pm in the Ballymena North Business and Recreation Centre.
Paula McLarnon, Branch and Volunteer Support Officer for Northern Ireland at PDS, said: "The event is an opportunity for people to get more information and advice on Parkinson's, to meet other people in
similar situations and to identify support at a local level.
"It's really important that people with Parkinson's and their families know that they are not alone and that the PDS is here to support them."
For more details contact Paula McLarnon (Branch and Volunteer Support Officer) on 0844 225 3684.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, but want more information on Parkinson's, visit: www.parkinsons.org.uk or call 0808 800 0303.
