HOT on the heels of the hugely successful first ever Lazytown Live! comes a brand new show! LazyTown Live! – The Pirate Adventure comes to the Grand Opera House from Wednesday 8 – Saturday, July 11.
When LazyTown Live! – The Pirate Adventure sails into town, there will be star-jumps, power-moves, laugh out-loud fun, sing-along songs and dancing in the aisles. Young and old alike will be transported onto the high seas through a high-energy story
full of parrots, pieces of eight and buried treasure. Joining in the fun will be favourite LazyTown friends: Stephanie and Sportacus – and of course Robbie Rotten who, given half the chance, would have Sportacus walking the plank so laziness could rule in LazyTown.
Many of the LazyTown Live! 08 cast are returning to play the same roles. The full cast are James Bellamy as Pixel, Julian Essex-Spurrier as Sportacus, Nathan Guy as Stingy, Matthew Medhurst as Robbie Rotten, Brian Hewlett as Mayor Meanswell, Kimberley Pena as Stephanie, Debi Li Gilby as Trixie and Hannah Lucas as Ziggy.
Conceived, written and directed by the hugely talented Icelander Magnús Scheving (who also plays Sportacus in the TV show), LazyTown is a life-style brand for young children. With its lessons about making healthy food choices and being physically active, the show aims to provide children with positive role models, while still being a lot of fun! The TV show received a Children's BAFTA nomination in October 2008.
Tickets are available from the Grand Opera House Box Office in the theatre foyer online at www.goh.co.uk or call 028 9024 21919.
