THE Old Museum Arts Centre's annual mini-festival, Pick 'n' Mix, is returning to Belfast from June 19-21.
In true Pick 'n' Mix style, the Festival promises something for everyone.
Ballymena star, Mary-Frances Doherty will join six of Northern Ireland's top local theatre and dance companies and a further seven of the hottest emerging companies in the
Province to create a weekend packed with sweet theatrical and dance treats.
Mary-Frances will recreate famous scenes, sing songs and share stories throughout the weekend in her own little home in the gallery space of OMAC.
Áine McVerry, OMAC's Deputy Director, explains the rationale behind the mini-festival and what audiences can expect: "Pick 'n' Mix 3 is a perfect example of what OMAC does best. For over 20 years OMAC has provided Belfast with some of the most original, inspiring and often provocative arts events. We will remain dedicated to continuing to do so in The MAC – Belfast's first arts centre to be built from scratch."
This year OMAC is delighted to welcome Ulster Bank to Pick 'n' Mix 3 as Festival partners.
Mike Bamber from Ulster Bank, said: "We are delighted to support Pick 'N' Mix 3. This is a great mini festival with a proven track record of success. We believe that one of the roles of a large business and employer such as Ulster Bank is to contribute to the communities with which we do business. One of the important ways we can do this is through engaging with people who enrich, inspire and broaden our lives through ideas, arts and culture. Pick N Mix is a great example of this expression and the festival is your opportunity to see 14 local independent theatre companies and over 70 local artists all packed into one unforgettable weekend."
Tickets are priced at £5.00 per performance or why not try the Pick 'n' Mix passport, £20 for a book of six adult tickets.
OMAC will work in conjunction with a number of City Centre restaurants including Malmaison, The Cloth Ear & The Errigle to offer exclusive meal deals for Festival goers. A bar will also be onsite for the duration of the Festival for you to enjoy a drink in between performances. For more information visit www.oldmuseumartscentre.org
