THESE are exciting times in Ballymena Baptist Church.
Freddie McClaughlin became their new pastor in January after a vacancy of six and a half years and he is looking forward to leading the fellowship as they return to their newly constructed building on the old Hill Street/Mount Street site at the begi
nning of June.

Planning for the return is well underway and there is a series of special events organised to mark the occasion.

The official opening programme kicks off on Thursday 12th June with an Open Night for friends, neighbours and the public in general.

There is the opportunity to have a cup of tea and see around the new 'state of the art' facilities.

There will also be representatives from the wide variety of church ministries manning displays at various locations throughout the building. Friday night, 13th June, is handed over to the youth for a celebration with the highly acclaimed Christian band 'Ignited Praise'. Crown Jesus Ministries and Pete Kernoghan (Bluetree) are also playing a major role in the evening.

Saturday evening marks the Official Opening with a praise service at 7.00pm.

The guest speaker is Dr Steve Brady (Principal, Moorlands Bible College) and the Church Musical Team will lead praise.

Dr Brady will also be speaking at both of the Sunday Services on 15th June (11.30am and 6.30pm).

The new building is on three levels with lots of rooms, youth lounge, games area, office space and a sports hall.

With a seating capacity of over 600 (at a pinch!), this new building is well worth a visit. Ballymena Baptist would be delighted if you could join them for any of the events or services over the weekend.
