ON Tuesday January 26 the Banbridge Special Olympics club took part in the regional finals of the swimming competitions in Lisburn.
Eight athletes attended and they did the club proud by bringing back nine gold, one silver, five bronze and two ribbons. Everyone in the club is very proud of them.

Also three members of the swimming club took part in the regional finals of the gymnastics in Lisburn. Paul Ewbanks took one gold and seven silver medals on the day; Tori Campbell took two gold and three silver medals while Tony Lunney was unavailable for the photo and medal results.

So all in all it’s been a great week and a great start to 2010 for the club!
