City Of Derry U15s 0

ON Saturday Bann U15s entertained City of Derry at Rifle Park in a league fixture played in perfect weather conditions.

The home side dominated the early exchanges with good inter-play between forwards and backs resulting
in full-back Richard Graham scoring under the posts.

From the re-start second row forward Jason Lamont collected the ball and with support from the rest of the pack provided a stable platform for scrum half Josh Cromie to release the backline.

A second and third score soon followed when No 8 Thomas Carlisle and wing-forward Neale Cochrane powered over the opposition line. Macauley Little added both conversions.

Bann continued in the same vein during the second period. With the elements in their favour and some majestic line kicking by out-half little, resulting in forwards and backs working in tandem, further scores were inevitable.

City of Derry never gave up and were competitive throughout but several handling errors in their in goal area provided Bann with the simplest of scores. Wing-forward Cochrane (2) and Carlisle (2) added to their own and the team’s try tally, with Little picking up a third conversion

This was an impressive performance by the Bann team, with good individual performances by Little, Lamont, James Waugh and David Waddell.
