ANTRIM'S Summer Festival continues throughout June and has proved to be extremely popular, in fact, so popular that one of the events is to be repeated in July.
One of the highlights of the Festival is a boat trip to Ram’s Island for an Archaeology Day. This event booked up so quickly that, due to popular demand, another boat trip will be taking place on Saturday, July 4.

“Take the short journey across L
ough Neagh and learn about the diverse history and wildlife of the island. See the remains of a Round Tower, and 'Cottage Orné', the tree lined avenue and gardens and evidence of the presence of the American Army during World War II,” Karen Steele, Development Manager for Visitor Servicing with Antrim council, said.

Karen added: "As numbers are limited, pre-booking is essential. I would urge anyone interested in learning more about this fascinating island to book a place as soon as possible, to make sure you don’t miss out this time.”

Bookings can be made by contacting contact Michael Savage on 07715 368050.

To make sure you don’t miss out on any of the other events taking place during the Summer Festival, please contact Antrim Information Centre on 028 9442 8331 or visit Antrim Borough Council’s website: www.antrim.gov.uk/summerfestival
