ANTRIM Art Club is joining in with Junction One's fifth anniversary celebrations with an exhibition at the outlet running from July 2 to 7.
The Exhibition Gallery will be open Thursday and Friday from 1pm to 9pm, Saturday from 10pm to 6pm, Sunday from 2pm to 6pm and Monday and Tuesday from 10am to 6pm.

The paintings of the Antrim Art Club artists will be on display during that time gi
ving the opportunity to visitors to the centre to view and purchase paintings in the original mediums oil, watercolour, acrylic and pastel.

Here is the opportunity to own a painting by a local artist or even commission one of the artists to do a particular work specially for you.

Meanwhile, members had their summer outing recently, leaving Antrim in a PSNI minibus, kindly loaned for the day, for a trip to the Antrim coast.

The first stop was in Larne at Bric a Brac which is an antiques and coffee shop belonging to Mr Jack McIlwaine and then on to the beautiful McIlwaine Fine Art gallery in Agnew Street specialising in oils and watercolours by leading Irish artists, some of whom once were members of Antrim Art Club.

The group also visited the gallery of Mr Tommy Workman who also displays many of the works of local artists followed by an excellent lunch at the Half Way House and then on to Steenson's Gold and Silversmiths for a talk and demonstration of their beautiful pieces being crafted.

The trip ended with a stop in Cushendall to visit the small but excellent gallery of Brigid Scally Millar and complete a super "arty day" with afternoon tea and shortbread at her gallery.
